Abby and Tom moved to Denver in December, and ever since their trip back west, I've wanted to go visit. My goal was May. The vacation schedule at work dictated late April. So, now it's official--Zoey and I leave for Denver April 28!
Which, according to my calendar, is only a few weeks away. Wow.
Tom deployed to Iraq back in early March, so it will be just us ladies hanging out in Colorado Springs, about an hour out of Denver. And, because we will have preschooler in tow, Abby and I are trying to come up with a game plan that will keep Zoey entertained AND allow us some time to enjoy more grown-up activities (like shopping). The Denver Zoo is definitely on the agenda. And I'm thinking we'll scope out every park in the area...maybe if we run Zoey ragged at the beginning of every day, she'll nap for a bit in the stroller while we shop?
Come on. It's early. I'm only on my first cup of coffee...humor me and my delusional thinking.
Another thought that occurred to me is how long it's been since I've traveled via airplane with Zoey. And this time? The thought of taking her on a plane did not cause me to break out in a cold sweat. We will pack our books and our Dora music and plenty of snacks and, if I am able to make it to the gate pushing a stroller and hauling carry-ons and a carseat solo, we will be fine.
Did somebody slip Valium in my coffee this morning?

I know you can do it!! I thought about flying up there for our spring break with all the kids but then I realized that there was no way I could get them and their stuff anywhere by myself so we stayed here. I hope you have a great trip!!
Sounds like it's going to be a great trip! I haven't had the pleasure of traveling on a plane with kid(s) in tow....but I think you're right, with a toddler will be easier. Enjoy!
i looked for the option on expedia (when asked if you had "special needs") to click something to the tune of "has stroller and toddler and half the world's dora paraphernalia" but alas, there was no such option.
